Summary: Season 5/6: Dean is surviving, somehow, after Sam's tumble into the Cage. But outside, something is watching him.
Dean looks out into the dark but sees nothing to explain the tingle at the back of his neck that tells him he is being watched. He picks up the tumbler and raises it to his lips, but the strong smell of the Wild Turkey suddenly turns his stomach and he lowers the glass without drinking.
He stands. Walks over to the window knowing he'll be exposed, framed as if on stage, vulnerable to anyone – anything – outside. Uncaring that the light inside makes him blind.
Under the shorting-out streetlight an oblivious bat chasing moths swerves around a tall dark figure.
