LIQUID CENTER

Coffee was hard to get these days, though Jenny Shepard as she kept on going through case reports. She has been stuck in MTAC from the moment she stepped foot into the Agency till the moment she stepped out of it for the last week, and Gibbs was so busy with the case, he didn't come up nearly as often as he would have usually, thus supplying her with the much needed brown liquid.

Good coffee was even harder to find, thought Jenny Shepard, as she popped a piece of chocolate in her mouth. That is why she's been carrying Pocket Coffee with her at all times. She has eaten more of it in the last few days than she has in her whole life before.

Satisfied, even if for a short while, she enjoyed the bitter taste of coffee mixed with the sweetness of the chocolate spreading in her mouth.

Just as she was about to continue her reading, the door flew open, hitting the wall, and a very annoyed-looking Jethro Gibbs stormed in.

"What are you still doing here this late?" – He growled at her.

"No coffee?" – She asked back, half amused, half disappointed.

"No time," – he sighed.

"Here, take this. It's good," – she said, throwing him little wrapping with chocolate.

Gibbs sat on the chair opposite her, looking suspiciously at the sweet in his hand. Pocked Coffee it said. Oh, well, he thought, he would take anything resembling coffee right now, he was that desperate. He started opening the sweet carelessly, wanting to feel coffee in his mouth as soon as possible.

Jenny put her glasses down, as well as the pen and the report file. She knew he would do it and it had disaster written all over it. But she just kept on enjoying the little fun she could get.

Gibbs bit into the chocolate carefully.

Of course he had to bite, or he wouldn't be named Leroy Jethro Gibbs, thought Jenny as the smile slowly spread across her face.

"What the..." – soon enough, Gibbs's growl of protest filled the otherwise quiet office.

Dark brown liquid slowly dropped on his light blue polo.

He looked up at Jenny as she slowly got up from her chair and made her way around the table to stand in front of him.

"You know, Jethro, you really should start reading warnings," – she said smugly, lowering her head and snatching the rest of the chocolate from his hand with her mouth. He looked at her questioningly. She grabbed the discarded piece of wrapping, turning it so he could read the warning.

Liquid center, was all that was written.

He sighed.

She smiled.

"Now what are we going to do about this?" – Jenny feigned worry.

She sat on his lap, tapping her index finger against the stain on the blue cotton. He instantly felt his mood shift.

"Oh I have a few ideas," – he said huskily, pulling her closer to him.
