The challenge word this week is Eden but this garden is certainly not paradise for one Winchester. It's a two-fer, so 200 words on the nose.

"Idyllic, isn't it, Dean? Like Eden must have been before Man learned what evil is and was cast out. So too will you soon understand what evil is. I will teach you that lesson."

He smiled as he looked out over the verdant wilderness before them, turning back only when he received no answer. He pressed a gentle finger to the underside of the cruelly pilloried hunter's chin, forcing him to raise his head from where it lolled exhaustedly against his heaving chest.

"I hope you appreciate the irony of your confinement?"

He let his hand fall to Dean's shoulder to grip the shaft of the cross bow bolt that tore through his inflamed flesh, pinning him to the rough bark of the ancient tree.

"Just as your God denied Man the Tree of Life and thus, immortality, so shall I see that you are similarly denied. "

He leaned in close, staring coldly into the hunter's pain-dilated green eyes, jerking the metal until his fingers were sticky with warm, wet crimson as he delighted in the fever-weakened screams it tore from the hunter's cracked lips.

"God has abandoned you, Dean.

You will die here.

But not straight away."
