She started to feel an overwhelming happiness bubble up inside her as the soft squish of her knife slide into her friend, Maebara Keiichi's stomach. Keiichi looked wearily down at his stomach as his white shirt started to slowly turn a crimson red. Sonozaki Shion through her head back and let out a happy and maniacal scream, followed by insane laughter.
"I've done it!" Shion screamed. "I've took my revenge on everyone who killed you! Praise me Satoshi-kun!" She giggled happily as Keiichi collapsed to the hard ground in a bloody heap.
Shion let out a final scream as she ran back to her apartment, laughing as she ran up the winding steps. "I did it. I did it. I killed them all!" She chanted to herself as she continued up the stairs. Shion decided to take a shortcut back to her room. She jumped up onto the railing and held onto the building, carefully but quickly running along back to her room. Suddenly her shirt got caught on an exposed nail and ripped it from her body, causing her to loose her balance and fall backwards. Her eyes widened as she felt nothing behind her and saw the bright moon getting farther and farther away from her.
Everything seemed to slow down, and at that moment, the demon inside of her that had been causing so much trouble ceased to exist. Shion reached her hand to the moon, picturing her beloved Satoshi-kun smiling at her. Her eyes filled with tears as she remembered all the horrible things she'd done to her friends and her beloved twin Sister. Images of Mion, Rika, Satoko, Keiichi, and Kimiyoshi flashed before her eyes, causing the pain in her heart to increase. She smiled softly as she voiced her apology to the emptiness of her mind, desperately hoping that her beloved friends would hear her.
"Onee...I'm sorry I didn't believe you. I know now you were only trying to help me, but I was blinded by anger and didn't take your outstretched hands." She said softly.
"Kei-chan...I'm sorry I wouldn't let you help me. I'm sorry about the pain I caused you, I know now you had nothing to do with Satoshi-kun's disappearance. Take care of Onee for me."
"Rika-chan I'm sorry for torturing you. I realize now you were only trying to help...I hope you'll forgive me."
Shion's throat clenched as Satoko came to mind. "Satoko...I'm so sorry about what I did. I was selfish; I didn't realize the pain you were in. You were far worse off than I was. It was your love for Satoshi-kun that made you act so childish...I'm so sorry."
She smiled sadly. "I'm sorry Kimyoshi-jii-chan...I shouldn't have blamed you for Satoshi-kun's disappearance. "
Her crystal tears fluttered gently up in the air above her, images of her beloved ones in the moon so high above her. "Why didn't I accept your help? Why couldn't I see?"
"I'm so sorry everyone...I'm sorry." She said softly as everything sped up and she hit the hard ground beneath her.
Though she had committed such horrible acts, Shion had a permanent smile on her face. She was going to where her loved ones were, with remorse in her heart, she could go happily.
