The rain was splattering against the windshield as Edward and Bella drove to her new home. The Cullen's were happy to share their home with her. Well, not all of them. Rosalie was different than the others. She almost never spoke when Bella was there. She was especially angry with her tonight. Tonight was the date that she would be changed. Bella was very nervous, and very sad. She had already said her goodbyes to Charlie, Renee, and all of her other friends.

She looked down at her left hand at the ring that was now embossed on her finger forever. The wedding had been small. Charlie wasn't as angry when they told him of her and Edward's plans on an early aged marriage. Renee wasn't too pleased with them, but she finally put that aside and came to the wedding.

Bella's hands were shaking as they turned into the driveway. This was it.
Edward stopped in the middle of the driveway and took her hands in his. "Don't worry. Everything is going to be ok."

"I know," Bella was also excited that she would become a vampire but she didn't look forward to the pain. She knew what it felt like. The burning was so intense.

"You don't have to do this. We have all of the time in the world now. Victoria is dead and no one will hurt you."

"I know. I'm ready Edward. Besides we still have the Voltari on our backs. I'm ready for this."

He carried her out of the car and put her on the porch. He kissed her with so much intensity that she was the one who broke free gasping for air. After she had caught her breath she kissed him again. His fingers knotted in her hair as did hers in his. Edward was not being very careful with her kiss, but he did stop before he became to out of control. His eyes smoldered.

"That's the last time we will kiss like that." He said with a smile.

"Yes it is. But after I'm changed, you won't have to be careful anymore."

"I know but there are some things that I'll really. Like this." He stroked her face and smiled her favorite crooked smile. She could feel her face getting warmer.

"I'll miss seeing you flush red." Edward smiled again and leaned down to kiss her once more. This kiss lasted a little longer than the previous one. Edward deepened the kiss. He licked along her bottom lip making her shiver but not from the cold. Bella's hands went to his face, feeling the very familiar face from forehead to chin. She stroked his neck and went farther down to his chest. Being the moral person that she is, she stopped there. She brought her hands back to his hair as did he. She pulled herself closer to him deepening the kiss. Edward's body suddenly went ridged. He broke away and Bella wasn't the only one having trouble breathing.

Edward embraced her in his very strong arms as they tired to control their breathing. When she pulled just far enough away to look up into his eyes, they were darker than they have ever been since she met him.

"Amazing," Edward could barely get it out. Bella was still concentrating on not passing out. Edward picked Bella up bridal style, lightly kiss her on her forehead, and said, "This is a start to a new beginning. Nothing could top what I just felt. I love you more than the ground I walk on Bella. I love you more than anything and don't you dare forget that."

He picked her up bridal style, shoved the huge door open, and walked up to his room where the king sized bed still remained. He laid her down on the bed. He brought her wrist up to his mouth and inhaled her lovely scent one last time. He place it back on the bed. Edward leaned in and kissed her neck.

"Edward I love you," Bella gasped.

"I know," he answered. Edward squeezed her hand and bit down on Bella's neck.

The end of a good life. The beginning of a nightmare.
