She had an inferiority complex.
It wasn't because she had given up her position as Queen. It wasn't because the man she grew up calling father confessed her true paternity to her as he died in her arms. No, it wasn't because her real family, the Peacecrafts were all but wiped out. Or that the only other survivor, her own brother, was her enemy.
No, it wasn't any of that.
It was because of him.
Heero Yuy.
She hadn't even been sure if that was his real name. Gundam Pilot 01, Pilot of Wing Zero, Heero Yuy. Of these personalities it was the man, boy really, behind them all that had caused it.
And even though he had risked his life to save her from Marie Maya, even though she had held him in her arms…he had left her.
Alone
Maybe that was the reason…
Maybe it was something else…
Either way, Heero was never able to forgive himself for walking away.
Maybe if he hadn't…
If he had stayed and told her how he felt.
Relena Peacecraft wouldn't have committed suicide.
