AN: Well, this is actually a History assignment that I got. We had to write a story in which an unlikely character creates a dictatorship the same way (basically) that Hitler did in WWII. This is my story.
Fascist Fairy Tale
When our story begins, Hogwarts was peaceful. Well, not really peaceful, but they weren't at war anymore. You see, they had just succeeded in defeating the evil Voldemort and his death-eaters, and that was quite good. Unfortunately, the headmaster of Hogwarts, Albus Dumbledore had died in the battle. This left Hogwarts without a leader, as all four heads of house wanted to become headmaster. They could not settle it by vote because each student would vote for his or her own head, resulting in a four way tie.
They also were low on money, as many funds were being used to pay for the damages the war had caused. People saw this as Hogwart's duty, since they had won. This caused great unrest at Hogwarts, until one boy decided to do something about it. That boy was Harry Potter. Naturally. I mean, Harry Potter was everyone's hero. He had been the one to save them all from Voldemort, not just once, but several times. He would save them now, right?
So Harry decided that the only way for Hogwarts to be truly peaceful was for him to take control. After all, he would only do what was best for the school, right? Now apart from the lack of a leader, Harry saw two other main problems with the situation at Hogwarts.
One was food. Many of the house-elves had been killed in the war, so there were less able to supply the students with food. The remaining elves were over-worked and not functioning at their highest level. Because of the lack of house-elves, Hogwarts was a little messier then it should have been and everyone was hungry.
The other problem Harry saw was the Slytherins. They were evil, useless students. They all had probably supported Voldemort too, and they did Harry no good while using up the few resources they had there.
So Harry had a plan. Several actually, but the most important was to get himself into a position of power. He had Hermione and Ron make and distribute flyers with his picture on them. The handouts claimed that Harry had saved them from Voldemort and he would save them again from poverty and filth. Students liked Harry, as he had always seemed quite nice, and they welcomed him into a position of power.
As soon as Harry had achieved his power, he started working. He got most of the younger students, and almost all the Gryffindors to support him, and he told them all how useless the Slytherins were. When Harry decided to start expelling Slytherins, few people opposed him. Those that did were expelled as well.
Harry alone had the insight to see what Hogwarts truly needed: an entire school full of Gryffindors. They were, after all, the best House.
AN: I know that there are things that don't work, for example, I know McGonagall would be headmistress, but I needed political instability. So deal.
