I wrote this little drabble to prove to my mom that I'm better at writing Sammy. As it turns out, she thinks this proves that I'm better at Dean. I'll let you guys be the judge though.

Oh, and I'm assuming that Ellen and Jo are in Nabraska because I can't remember and I don't own the second season.

Flip It

Somewhere in Colorado

"Dean, we're not going back to Nabraska," Sam called as he ran after his brother in the parking lot of the motel they'd been staying in for the past week.

"It's too late. I already told Jo we were headed back to check out a Zamblet sighting for her," Dean replied, sliding into the driver's seat of his '67 Impala.

"Since when do you get to choose what hunts we go on?"

"Since I'm and the driver - and the oldest. Hey, didn't we have this discussion, like, a year ago?"

Sam rolled his eyes as he closed his car door. "I think the Zamblet can wait for a few days."

"Really? And you just happen to have a better job for us, right?"

"Actually, yes." Dean smirked as he watched his little brother pull out his laptop and call up a page. "Three people have been injured in the same park in the past two weeks," Sam explained as he passed the laptop to Dean.

"Injured? That's all? No demonic signs or flashing neon lights leading us there?" Dean said sarcastically, scrolling down the page.

"A girl is in the hospital," Sam continued on, ignoring his brother's comment. "And about ten years ago, a nanny died there while trying to get her charge to climb down a tree."

"A regular salt-and-burn? Those are way too easy. Besides, I haven't dealt with a Zamblet in ages." Dean handed the laptop back to Sam and pulled a coin from his jean pocket. "I'll tell you what, we'll flip for it. If I win, we go to Nabraska. If you win, we go digging tonight."

"Oh, fine." Sam groaned. "I call heads."

"Good, 'cause I'm a tails man, myself." Dean grinned as he flipped the coin and watched it land on the back of his hand. "Tails. I win." He quickly pocketed the coin and started the car.

"No way. I didn't even get to see it. You cheated!" Sam complained as he tried to stope Dean from pulling the car out of the parking lot.

"Not my fault you need glasses. Now quiet." Sam sighed as Dean turned up the volume on the radio just as Led Zeppelin came on.

'Some things never change,' Sam thought.
