THE DOCTOR is manning the TARDIS controls. He casually flicks switches. AMY is reading a book. Sat back. Relaxed
amy
You say you've met Agatha Christie before?
doctor
Yes...but a long while ago now..but yes.
amy
Soo....why are we going back? You know...if you've already met her before. Why again?
doctor
Well..she called me. Wants me to help her with a plot ending.
amy
Wow. She must be desperate.
doctor
Oi! I'll have you know I'm quite good at plot endings. I've done quite a few in my time.
amy
(Surprised)
Really? Like who.
doctor
Well errr..lets see. Well there was Dickens, Shakespeare...you know that man actually speaks very..very...chav. Anyway...err...Rowling, Dick King Smith, Wilson...
AMY
(Cuts in)
Wilson?
doctor
Yeah. You know. Jacqueline. Jacqueline Wilson.
Amy looks blank
doctor
Writes stories about depressed children.
amy
Oooohhh her...
DOCTOR
Now you got it. As I seem to remember that story ended with a woman marrying a banana.
amy
The Doctor. The Oncoming Storm. Last of the Time Lords. Defeated thousands of aliens, and you end a story with a woman marrying...a banana.
doctor
Well why not. Not depressing. Bananas are good. Besides...she was very grateful.
(Snaps back into action)
Right! Agatha! Shall we be off?
The Doctor flips a switch and the engines begin whirring. Amy grips the TARDIS control panel...preparing herself. The TARDIS begins whirring, bumping, grinding.
DOCTOR
(Shouting)
You like the new suspension? It really softens the ride.
Massive jolt sends Amy flying.
amy
Yeah I can really feel the difference.
Amy and the Doctor laugh as they continue their ride. The engines eventually stop. They've arrived
doctor
Aaah. April 18th 1930. The day "there was no news". Brilliant. You can smell it can't you? Nothingness.
Suddenly a loud crash and the engines restart. TARDIS begins spiraling out of control. A red warning light flashes on and off. Loud explosions everywhere. Amy and the Doctor are flung all over the place.
Doctor
Someone infiltrated the TARDIS control system! We're being pulled into they're world!
AMY
DOCTOOORRRRR?????
A white light is pulsing around Amy and a strong wind begins blowing. Amy is dragged into the light until she disappears. BANG the controls explode and the Doctor is knocked out. Darkness.
SCENE 2: Bad wolf bay
The Doctor is lay on the beach. Clothes are ripped and hair is all over the place. The Doctor slowly wakes up...
DOCTOR
So yes. Where was I? Hmmm...Turkey! Never go to Turkey and eat Turkey. I got food poisoning for days.
(The Doctor finally realizes things aren't as they should be.)
Okay...Turkey is no longer an appropriate topic. Where am I? Amy?
The Doctor sits up. And looks around. Sees Amy is not there.
DOCTOR
Okay forget that. Go back to sleep.
The Doctor lies on the ground like he's trying to wake up from a dream.
