Dean stared at Lavender. "So, Seamus thought you and I should go on a date, huh?"

Lavender shrugged. "Well, I don't have a boyfriend, and you don't have a girlfriend, so he thought we'd be a good match I guess."

"We have nothing in common, so what was Seamus thinking?" Dean asked.

Lavender's whole face screamed 'boredom.' "My thoughts exactly."

"I was so happy when Seamus told me you wanted to go on a date with me," Eloise gushed.

Dean opened his mouth to reply, but she continued with her spewing of a lot of words.

"I don't go on dates often. Guys just don't seem to be interested in me."

Again, Dean opened his mouth, but once again, he was stopped when Eloise continued her monologue.

"I don't understand why I don't get dates. And if by miracle I get a first date, I never get a second date with the same guy. I mean, I'm nice and smart. I might not be the best looking, but looks aren't everything, right?"

This time, Dean didn't bother trying to respond. He knew there wasn't any point.

And sure enough, Eloise kept talking.

Whereas Eloise was a talker, after Dean complained to Seamus, this time the Irishman set him up with the complete opposite of Eloise. And that was Fay Dunbar.

She shyly sat across from him, quiet as a mouse.

"So, Fay, we were in the same house and in the same year, but we never really talked. I'm not sure why."

Fay shrugged.

"Um, Seamus told me you like Quidditch. That you enjoyed the position of Beater?"

Fay nodded, but she still stayed silent.

"I've never had the muscle to be a Beater, but I enjoyed playing Chaser."

Fay nodded, not adding anything to the conversation.

Dean sighed, ready for a very quiet meal.

Dean stared at Seamus. "No more matchmaking for you."

Seamus pouted. "Why?"

"Because you set me up with girls that are completely wrong for me! Lavender? Eloise? Fay? Really? Do you not know me at all? And you know what? Out of those three girls, Fay, the quietest girl in the world, was probably the best. Stop setting me up. If I want a date, I can get my own date. I don't need your help."

And with that, he left the room, but he knew Seamus, and there was still plotting going on in Seamus' evil head.
