I layed on the ground peacefully on Hyrule Field. The wind blew softly tickling my
ears. It was a pretty odd thing to do for a princess of Hyrule but I want to be a normal girl.
The grass blew back and forth and a butterfly tickled my nose. I got up and ran after it
on a spring day. The air smelled sweet and a sweet sky was upon me. I chased and chased
after the butterfly until I was distracted.
As I dove about to catch it....Crash. I felt dizzy on the ground. The earth spun around
me and so did a geourgous boy. His light brown hair and his adorable face just attarcted me. I
mean a crush at two was odd..for a PRINCESS as usual. But his eyes glistnened into mine. "Are
you okay?" The little boy asked me. My small mouth started shake. Bursting into tears as I saw my
sraped leg. It was really bad looking too. I screamed tampering for my mother. "Why are you crying?"
He asked me another question. "Because, because I have a booboo!" I whined. He bent down to me.
"I'm sorry it's all my fault you have a booboo!" He started to cry. I stopped crying and started
at him with his puffy eyes. "IT's okay." I smiled tenderly at him. Again his eyes sparkled only this time because of
his bursting tears. "You mean it?" He sniffled. I nodded sitting down next to him. "Your really nice!" The boy
smiled at me the way I smiled at him. "So whats your name?" I asked him. "Link." He answered. "I'm Zelda,
princess of Hyrule." We shook hands dreaming at each others faces.
Just then a spark of lightning came onto the grass. It grew ominous as the dark clouds went upon
the field. Rain poured on our heads. Suddenly, a man with evil eyes appeared laughing evily. Link and I shivered.
I gasped looking at the evil man. "Muhahahahahahaha! I shall take over the whole land of Hyrule! Starting with you
two little children!" The man laughed with evilness forming a ball of darkness. He threw it at us with all his might. "So long
children! The great evil Ganondorf has finally had revenge!" He crossed his arms looking down at us. The ball almost
reached us Link pushed me away. He ran too but the ball hit his foot. Link fell on the ground hard unconcious.
I heard a horse gallop by me. It was my caretaker, Impa. She grabbed me on and hit the horse. The
horse ran with all his might on it's strong hind legs. As I saw Link on the ground without being payed attention
to. "Impa Link is on the ground!" I pointed back at him. "He's dead Zelda! The king asked me to caretake you,
not some Kokirian!" I looked back seeing him grow smaller and smaller until he disappeared. I cried as he
was gone.
He was a handsome boy too. Ganondorf ran after us. He punched the ground and it shook
histerically. I fell on the ground hitting my head hard just like Link. Hardly, I felt nothing. It just
all gone....blank. When I woke up I was safe. I didn't know what just happened. In a warm room
safe.
Zelda never remembered her first crush at age two. She never remembered a boy who
saved his life.
