Mayas POV

Now if there's one thing to remember about Riley Matthews, it's that she doesn't cuss. She never has. So you can only imagine how mad you would have to make her for her to drop the f-bomb in the middle of the hallway in Abigail Adams.

"Maya fucking Hart," Riley said, storming down the hallway towards me.

"What?" I asked, and furrowed my eyebrows.

"What the hell was that?" She asked, and crossed her arms. "Chai was flirting with you in class and you just let her?"

"Riley, I was telling her to stop," I said.

"Oh, yeah sure, it sure as hell looked like you were telking her to stop when she touched your hand and your cheek," Riley growled.

"Riles, I told her to stop," I defended myself. "She just wouldn't I'm sorry. I told her no. Why don't you believe me?"

"Beause that's not what it looked like when I was watching you in chemistry class," Riley said. "It looked like you were flirting right back with her."

"We were messing around," I said. "Chai has a very playful personality. We were just joking around about stuff. So maybe she flirted with me, big deal. At the end of the day, I'm yours. Not Chai's, Farkle's, or Zay's; but your's. Why isn't that enought for you?"

"Because I'm allowed to be jealous!" Riley yelled.

"Oooh, chick fight!" Zay shouted, and we both looked at him.

"Shutup!" We yelled, and turned back to each other.

"So what?" Riley said. "Chai replaces me now. Her brown hair and playful personality?"

"Riley, that's not the only reason why I like you," I said. "You're trustworthy, nice, you have it all."

"So does Chai," Riley added and I sighed.

"But I don't love Chai!" I shouted, and then quietly added. "I love you."

"Yeah?" RIley said.

"Yeah," I said.

"Well that's not good enough this time," Riley turned on her heel and ran down the hallway.

"Maya," Lucas said.

"Dont fucking talk to me, cowboy," I said, and slammed my locker and walked away.

-linebreak-

I dialed Rileys phone number as I sat on my bed. It rang once, twice, thrice, and it went to voicemail. I tried again and the same thing happened. "Well then Riley," I said. "Have it your way."

I opened the window and sat next to Riley. "How did you get in here? I locked the window."

"Yeah, but it wasnt 'locked'," I said, and Riley gave a sad chuckle. "Riley I'm sorry if me talking to Chai hurts your feelings or makes you feel like I love you any less."

"She's just a lot like me," Riley said. "And you laughed at her jokes. You only laugh at my jokes."

"You both have funny jokes!" I said. "But you're funnier, sweeter, nicer, and more beautiful than Chai will ever be, Riley."

"Really?" Riley asked, and I nodded.

"Plus," I said, placing a kiss on her lips. "Her eyes aren't brown."
