Its been seven years since she saw him last. Sure, he came and visited during the major holidays, but he hasn't come back for a year and a half now.
He joined the Army to fight over in Netopia. An evil mafia took control over the government, and forced people to join there "army". He wanted to help Princess Pride, so when they flew over to Netopia, he became one of her Bodyguards. He was in the 26 division to be sent over to Netopia.
After five years of trying to overthrow the mafia, and two years of trying to get the country back on track, the people who volunteered finally got to go home.
She looked around to see families waiting around for for there son / daughter coming back from war. She was startled when she heard an announcement saying that flight number 115 was landing and undocking.
That was his flight! May thought to herself. She waited patiently as she saw the plane landing in the runway. She saw the catwalk connect to the door entrance, and saw people through the small window getting there suitcases and walking out.
Not everyone on the airplane were soldiers. Actually there wasn't any soldiers on that plane. Everyone that came out was wearing normal clothes.
Person after person came out of the chamber. She still waited though. She kinda started to lose hope and was about to walk away when she saw a man in uniform walk around the corner. It was him. She couldn't believe it. He was finally home, and home to stay.
When he was walking down the corridor, he was limping a little bit. Tears started filling up in her eyes. She ran up to him and hugged him. There was no hesitation before he hugged her back.
Some people started clapping, some people started cheering. He didn't change much. There was a small beard, but that was pretty much it.
"I'm so happy you're back." She whispered to him. "Glad to be back with you." He whispered back. They stood there embracing for what felt like hours.
"I missed you." She whispered between sobs. "I missed you too." He whispered back. He stood there with her in his arms, in his uniform, in the hallway of Exit Chamber 25.
It's been a long seven years serving, but it was worth it for this moment.
"I love you." He whispered. "I love you too." She whispered, "Please don't leave me again." He brushed her hair. "I'm never going to leave you again." She was still crying. The joy the both of them were experiencing was incredible.
"Let's get out of here." He whispered to her. "Ok." She whispered back. He wiped the tears out of her eyes and put his arm around her, walking to the exit.
