In the Name of Jealousy
Todd stared across the room at her. She seemed to be happy as she danced across the room with her husband. Todd had always liked her smile but not when he wasn't the one to give it to her. Her husband was all wrong for her and would only hurt her. Why couldn't she see that she would be better off with out him? He couldn't just stand her and watch her with him all night...the jealousy was beginning to take hold and it would only be a matter of time before it suffocated him.
He wished that he could make her jealous but he hadn't come with anybody. He looked around the room for somebody...anybody that he could use to make her jealous and then he spotted Kelly Kramer standing alone against the back wall.
"Do you want to dance with me?" Todd asked as he walked up to Kelly.
"What do you want from me?" Kelly asked suspiciously.
"What makes you think that I want anything?" Todd asked.
"Because you hate me...and you wouldn't ask me to dance with you unless there was something in it for you."
"I don't hate you Kelly...but you're right. I asked you to dance with me to make somebody else jealous."
"Why should I help you make Blair jealous? She's my cousin and she hates me enough as it is."
"Who said anything about Blair?" Todd asked.
"If it's not Blair...then who is the mysterious woman that you want to make jealous? " Kelly asked.
"It's not important," Todd stated.
"You still haven't told me what's in it for me?" Kelly asked.
"I'll help you make Joey jealous."
"Joey? I don't have feelings for Joey...not anymore," Kelly protested.
"Of course you do and it's driving you crazy to see him and Aubrey dancing the night away. I say that we give them a taste of their own medicine so that they're the jealous ones. What do you say? Can we help one another?" Todd asked.
"Dance with me," Kelly stated as she placed Todd's hand around her waist.
"May I cut in?" Joey asked after a couple of minutes of watching them dancing together.
"She's all yours...besides I have another woman that I'm interested in," Todd stated as he saw Marty running out of the room leaving Patrick behind.
"Thanks for your help," Todd stated as he kissed Kelly on the lips and walked away.
He went running after Marty but the hallway was empty and there was no sign of her anywhere...still it had been a successful night. He now knew that Marty cared about him...otherwise she would have never gotten jealous to see him dancing with Kelly.
