Author's Note: Hey guys. It has been a long time since I last posted a fanfiction. I do have longer fanfictions planned and I am in the process of writing them out but I am stuck on a few, annoying writer's block. I will try my hardest to push through this so that I can share them with you guys; however, for now I have one-shots and monologues based on characters from TV shows. I will probably post my monologues in the future. If you would like that, comment below or PM me. Anyway this is a one shot that I came up with after watching Necromancing the Stone. Hope you enjoy:)

She had cheated death and came back with a strong, soul-conquering bloodlust that she had managed to control. When possessed by the demon, Mallus, she was able to fight him off every now and then, eventually leading her to permanently fight off his hold on her. No doubt that she had done some awful, soul-shaking deeds whilst part of the League of Assassins but she had changed for the better and her being born and born again was certainly not a mistake despite what she might secretly think. She had felt so much pain and sorrow as well as caused it; she could definitely defeat, overcome, survive anything that the universe threw at her because she was a survivor. Despite all that, the one thing she could not allow herself to do no matter how many lives she would and could live was…be happy.

Ava was probably the best relationship Sara had ever had, she even said it herself; she had never been this happy in her history of lives, not even with Nyssa. Ava loved her and she would give her life for Sara without a second thought. She knew this, and she felt the same way but there was so much that Ava did not properly know or understand, until today, when Mallus overtook her body. She didn't really take full notice until Nora Dahrk had pointed it out to her. The woman that had harmed almost all her friends, and nearly killed them, that was the woman she truly was; it was a representation of her true self. She was death as Nora had put it. It was all those things that threatened her relationship with Ava. It was the mere fact that she had never been so happy that posed as a threat to the two of them. Sara didn't know how to continue being happy without damaging it somehow so she did the only thing she knew she could do to prevent that from happening: end things before anyone got hurt; however, that backfired. She only caused Ava more pain than if they had continued their relationship and she hurt Ava by accident. She did what she did because she had the best interest of Ava Sharpe at heart. Little did she know that love would crush her heart more than it ever had before.

Hope you enjoyed it. Tell me what you think because this is my first time posting something like this and whether or not I should post something like this in future. Thanks for reading.
