Author's note

This story is set 2 years after the battle of Waterloo and 1 year after the recently televised Sharpe's Challenge. A young English girl living on her own in France after the death of her parents vows to find the soldier who helped her after her life was turned upside down. Major Richard Sharpe, after vowing never to fight again, is living in France trying to make a life for himself when the young lady walks back into his life and changes it forever. It's just a silly romantic thing, but I do hope you enjoy.
