"Ladybug.." Chat sighed heavily, falling onto his bed as he destransformed. "Why is it always Ladybug?"

Plagg flew away, obviously trying to dodge the question by stuffing his mouth with Camembert. Adrien had been quite depressed lately about his lady always upstaging him. She never meant to and he knew that, but it was just hard on the boy, Ladybug being so miraculous and all. He was often forgotten, the reporters always pushing him away for an interview with the wonderful hero. Sure, he got plenty of attention as a model and the son of a super famous and wealthy fashion designer, but that was as Adrien. As Chat Noir, nobody cared. Not even Ladybug, it seemed...

A single tear fell, despite Adrien's dry eyes. He turned onto his side and pulled his knees up to his chest with ease. His small, model body seemed to come in handy sometimes. "What about Chat Noir?"

Marinette sat up silently in her bed. She had just returned home an hour ago from a night partol with Chat Noir and she couldn't fall asleep. Something was on the poor girl's mind, but she wasn't sure what it was. Maybe, it was Chat's attitude. He had seemed a little dreary compared to normal. It might've had something to do with all the citizens and media ignoring him in favor of Ladybug. It had always been like that. She was Paris' famed hero, Ladybug, doer of only good! And Chat was...her partner, of course! Though, who actually saw it like that. She knew she couldn't do this without him, but was she really the only one who knew that?

"Don't worry, Chat. I'll show my appreaciation to you for sure," she whispered aloud, hushing her voice as to not wake her parents.

Marinette crawled out of her bed and turned a faint light on. As long as she could see, she could work.

"Woah, Mari! I didn't know you liked Chat Noir!" Alya yelled, eyes stuck on her best friend's new shirt. It was black with a neon green pawprint in the middle. Under said pawprint were the words "Chat Noir" in the same green.

"Haha, yeah..I guess I am kind of quiet about it.." Marinette chuckled, rubbing the back of her head. "I've met him a few times...He's really amazing..."

A blush was starting to creep up on the young girl's face. She had neveer really been honest with her self about how much she appreciated her partner. If anything, in her eyes, he was the miraculous one.

Adrien watched from ahead of the girls. He and Nino had arrived early and sat on the stairs of the schoolyard. He was smiling like an idiot at Marinette's shirt. It was like she had heard his cries last night and somehow knew she should do something. Too bad she only showed a fondness toward his alter ego. Marinette was very kind, it seemed, but she wouldn't turn his way most days. And if she did, the raven-haired girl wouldn't speak to him very much. But at the very least, someone appreciated all he did for Paris and that's what mattered most.

"Thanks, princess..."
