I don't own Pokemon. Though it would be nice to be rich. So don't sue me!!

Ash and Misty were sitting on a bench in the Pokemon center, waiting for Pikachu to get out of his birthday massage. "It was nice of you to give Pikachu a massage for his birthday. He seems really tense lately." Misty said, looking up from her magazine.
"I know it. The other day, he was sitting by himself, and I came up behind him, y'know, sneak-attack! And I swear, he almost fell down that hill!" Ash chuckled fondly.
"That's so mean, Ash Ketchum!" Misty slugged him good-naturedly in the shoulder. He retaliated with a light shove. They were battling merrily when the doors opened, and a little boy with his mother walked in, holding a tired looking Charmeleon. Nurse Joy jogged over, and after a brief conversation with the boy's mother, took the Pokemon and headed into the Healing Room, the mother following.
The little boy held back. That girl had a Togepi! He sauntered up to the sparring friends. "Uhmm..lady? Can I pet your Togepi?" Ash stifled a laugh. "Lady?" He asked, "She's about as ladylike as a Koffing! Hahaha!!" Misty elbowed him in the ribs. To the little boy, she said, "OK. Togepi's soft, isn't he?" The egg Pokemon throbbed in content. "What's your name, lady?" The kid asked.
"Misty Waterflower."
"Oh. Mine's Mark." He looked at Ash. "Is that your husband?" He asked, in all the innocence of a six-year-old. Ash burst out laughing again, only his face was really very red. "Misty??? My WIFE??!!!?? That's a good one..." His chuckles began to sound forced. Misty laughed too, but a little too hard. "Yeah, that's crazy...." Mark shook his head in confusion."Why?"
Ash and Misty responded at the same time, "Because..." They looked at each other and began to laugh again.
"Mark! Let's go. We'll pick up Rhett in a few days." The little kid's mother was headed for the door. Mark followed, waving at Ash, Misty and Togepi as he left. Ash and Misty chuckled a little more. "Us. Married!" Ash said, shaking his head. And Misty was thinking, "Does that thought really repulse him so much? I would rather die than know he was sick at the thought of being with me.....why is he laughing so hard?"
Ash was thinking, "Whew! I think I passed that one with honors. Too bad I have to, though. It would be nice, maybe, to spend the rest of my life with her. But she only wants me for a friend. Otherwise, she wouldn't be laughing so quietly, like it sickens her, but she's being polite."
The friends continued reading their magazines quietly.
