Title: Yellow
Rating: K
Summary: Obi-Wan was always haunted by those yellow eyes from Mustafar.
Disclaimer: I think it is obvious that I don't own Star Wars. I'm not George Lucas.
A human Jedi's eyes were meant to be natural colors. Blue, brown, green, gray –
It was all the same. These colors are accepted.
But never yellow.
Yellow was the color of hatred, of Sith, of all the malice that could be contained in a single being. It was the dark side of the Force, that twisted field that could never be untangled.
And Obi-Wan Kenobi watched the eyes of his brother, his son; his salvation from all the grief from Qui-Gon's death. He saw the eyes of the fallen Skywalker, and he nearly screamed from the agony that pierced his heart at the sight of sulfuric yellow in his former apprentice's eyes.
"You were the Chosen One!"
But the eyes of the Chosen One could not be yellow. Never yellow.
So Obi-Wan left, the memory of yellow never leaving him on the golden sands of Tattoine.
In his dreams, both waking and subconscious, the hateful shades haunted him, always leaving the distressed realization that Anakin's eyes should be blue.
