"Are you sure this is the wish u want?" the voice in the shadows spoke. I stared at my feet hesitating for my answer was unsure..."Yes I am certain" I held my mask for a moment then took it off placing it on the small table next to my organ. "My god...it worked" I said with excitement in my voice for the first time for as long as I can remember. Then I realized I was in a different room...the stage of the Opera Populaire. "Erik? Are you ready to practice this aria?" I looked up to see Monsieur Reyer waiting for my replay patiently, "Oh um yes, yes I am" he smiled and spoke to the orchestra and they began to play. Before I realized what was going on around me I was singing along to a melody I have never heard before...then again I am living a different life. "Monsieur Reyer? Where is C-" a wide smile appeared on his face "Carlotta! How nice of you to join us, now we can continue our rehearsal." I stared at Carlotta in confusion wondering why it is Carlotta I am singing with and not Christine "Excuse me? Where is Christine?" I questioned and crossed my arms waiting for a reply, Reyer stared at me as if I was talking about the three headed house in the stables. "Erik are you feeling ill? There had never been a Christine here." my palms started to sweat...where would Christine be? I looked around trying to think of an answer when I turned and saw a shadow run across the boards above the stage. "Excuse me for a minute" I said walking away from Carlotta and Reyer and climbing up the ladder to see if anyone is or was there. I walked around remembering all the times I had watched Christine sing on the stage below. A shadow was watching me I couldn't see their face but then they ran across and climbed up another ladder and leaving from my sight. "Wait!" I said only loud enough for if they were close by they could hear me. I followed the mystery person until we were up by the chandelier and the disappeared into the wall "What the?" I walked closer to where they had vanished and saw the small door I've once walked through. I continued to run trying to find this person when I remembered exactly where I was. This is where I unchained the chandelier so it would fall and I would have Christine to myself and the person I was following was standing there in front of me. "Christine?"
