The war had hit a breaking point, First Wizard Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander had already put up the boundary to Westland, but a official request for truces bound by marriage came from Panis Rahl the Lord Rahl of D'Hara.
It read as such:
Mother Confessor,
It is my request that we come to, to terms over a truces. We have lived within relative peace with each other for hundreds of years before this started, and hope we can go back to that with a strong union of my son and heir, Darker Rahl, and a member of a wizarding family, this marriage would formant our truces. This is my only request that my son has a wife that is of wizarding blood, and to prepare herself to be the Lady Rahl, the Queen of D'Hara.

Zedd read the note that had just be handed to him by the Mother Confessor Haylie Amnell had handed him with a grim expression.
So this was it tempering the Rage from the Rahl line with the love and loyal of the Zorander line.
Taralyn was the choice made by the Mother Confessor and the Zedd, she is Zedd's only child, his pride and joy.
