Agent Jemma Simmons was a top SHIELD operative but when trouble arises and people are after her, what happens if they get to her and if her neighbour Leo Fitz gets caught in her drama too. ,AU, (first ever story, rubbish summary) rated T just in case. Will be multi chapter.
The click of the gun echoed in the isolated firing room, it was just her there today, trying to be on point as usual. She placed the gun on the rack and checked her heart rate monitor; 61 beats
continuous throughout. Placing the noise cancelling headphones down and repeating with the goggles, she grabbed her bag and walked out.
Her name, the gun girls, was Jemma Simmons. Recruited at the age of 17 her life has been hard, however she is now one of the best in the business. 6 years of hard work paid off.
Jemma joined S.H.I.E.L.D as a scientist most definitely not fit for field work, but events occurred, times changed and things turned out the unfortunate way, that's the harsh reality of things really. Being in this type of business you had to fit in…
…Jemma entered her picket fenced house ready to relax before her afternoon workout. Delicately she pulled out her black hair bobble and combed her fingers through her brown hair, twisting pieces as she went along. Visibly relaxing was the easy part, all you had to do was loosen your shoulders, take a deep breath and close your eyes. Making sure your always prepared, however, was what mattered the most. Her gun was only an arms width away at all times, two seconds max to reach it and aim for whatever deemed necessary.
Elsewhere
Leopold Fitz, known to most as 'Fitz' had a painfully normal life. A this moment he was sitting at his work desk pretending to sort through the files of his previous customer whilst actually watching the newest episode of doctor who through his earphones. Fitz' job was at the local garage as an engineer, he had the levels and capabilities to go much further than this but for some reason he never got the chance to pursue, or never really wanted too. An 'odd duck', that's what everybody calls him, because with his brown curly hair and skinny figure and his broad Scottish accent, he just wasn't your average guy born and raised in this town. Leo moved to America at 18 and for five years he hasn't achieved anything, he already knew anything worth while to his highly functional brain.
"Oi Fitz, are you done with those documents yet, your shift ends in 10 minutes. You know the boss'll make ya stay and work late!"
That was Fitz' cue to leave, Donnie was always getting on his nerves at work, but he was his only real friend, what else could he do. Placing the filled out files on the chipped desk, ready to be signed of tomorrow, he gathered his bits and walked out.
Leo drearily walked to the front door of his small yet homey house, placed his bag on the wooden floor by the door and jogged up the stairs to get changed out of his work uniform. Quite frankly a mess was the best way to describe his room; stacks of clothes in every corner, packaging's covering the bed and desk, the cleanest thing he had in the house was a shelf across the left side of his room opposite his bed. The shelf contained a TARDIS figure, an old monkey teddy and a few photos of him and his family back in Scotland. He had changed so much since then…
Ta da, thats the end of chapter 1. Please review and chapter 2 will be up soon x
