Short Outnumbered one shot, please review
Karen was drawing at the kitchen table, Jake was sitting next to her, doing his homework on paper (which surprised Sue as Jake was normally on his laptop), Sue was cooking dinner.
"Jake," Karen asked.
"Yes Karen," Jake answered.
"You know people, who want to, kill people," Karen started.
"Not personally," Jake sounded cautious.
"Do they shoot annoying people?" Karen asked.
"I don't know. Karen where is this going?" Jake sounded a little scared.
"Well, if they shoot annoying, celebrities, do you think they would shoot John and Edward? Those people from X-Factor." Karen asked. Sue turned round and looked at Karen, trying to find an answer for the obscurity of her question.
"Erm, well, John and Edward are annoying, but I don't think that they really need to be shot." Jake explained.
"But, what if they were really annoying? And the man, or woman, was depressed or suicidal or something." Karen added.
"They can be very annoying, but teachers are annoying when they give you homework, parents are annoying when they tell you to tidy your bedroom," Jake explained.
"Hey!" Sue protested.
"But that doesn't mean we shoot them." Jake finished, ignoring Sue.
"Does that mean I'm allowed to shoot Mummy and Daddy next time they ask me to tidy my bedroom?" Karen asked.
"No, Karen, you are not allowed to shoot Mummy and Daddy. Please don't tell me you have a gun?" Jake pleaded.
"Ok." Karen answered and carried on with her drawing.
"Karen, do you have a gun?" Jake asked, unsure if she should.
"Of course not Jake, but Ben does." Karen answered, not taking her eyes off her drawing. Sue went to intervene. Jake stopped her.
"Karen, Ben's toy guns won't kill anyone." Jake stated.
"I know, but he still has guns." Karen answered.
"What are you drawing sweetie?" Sue intervened, she wanted to have some sort of say in this conversation.
"Well, I have drawn 2 toilet brushes to represent John and Edward, see I wrote their names on there, and then that's a gun and now I'm going to draw 2 more toilet brushes, but they've been blown to bits so you can't tell they're toilet brushes anymore." Karen told her mum.
"Why have you drawn toilet brushed to represent John and Edward?" Sue asked.
"Because of their hair." Karen answered, like it was normal.
"And their hair looks like a toilet brush?" Sue asked.
"Yes." Karen answered.
"I can't disagree with that." Jake added, going back to his writing.
