Hello, readers. Welcome to my new story, 'Camp'. I was inspired to write this a couple of months ago when a went to a week long summer-camp. It really inspired me how me, along with 5 other people, got to know each other better and better throughout the course of one week.

By the way, Miwa and Karai are two totally different people in this story.

Week: 1
Day: 1
Date: July 19th

"Yay!" Mikey cheered as his grandma pulled into 'Camp Hamato'. "I can't believe you agreed to let me go here!" He loved hanging out with his grandma. Every month or so, he would go to her house and spend the night. She would never object to it. She knew how much emotional pain he had been in ever since his mother died.

"Of course, my dear." She said as she turned off the child's-lock and he jumped out of the car and ran into the sign-in building. His grandma told him to slow down once they got into the building. As she was turning in all of the papers, he turned to see some kid in glasses. He looked really scared to be there. His mom probably forced him to come here, just to get him out of the house. That was the opposite of his case. His father wanted him to stay. He didn't know why.

"Michelangelo?" He heard his grandmother say. She had some blue bracelet in her hand. "This is the bracelet that the camp requires to know that you belong here. Don't take it off until camp is over." He allowed her to put the bracelet on his hand. He brushed his curly bangs out of his face and looked over at a black-haired boy. He had a blue sweater on and black pants. His blue eyes showed the tiniest hint of fear, but mostly bravery. He hoped t have him in his cabin. "Michelangelo, we need to find a cabin called 'Sunshine's Cabin'."

"Okay!" Mikey said as he followed his grandmother into the main camp place. He glanced over to the parking lot and saw some women on the phone getting out of the car. A kid with red hair and green eyes stepped out of the backseat of the car. He looked angry. He probably didn't want to be here. Mikey didn't want to share a cabin with him. He didn't like party-poopers.

As he and his grandma walked through the girl's-cabin section to get to the boy's, he saw a girl walking into a cabin. She looked very friendly. She had light blue eyes, like his own, and red hair, lighter than the boy in the parking lot's.

Once they made it through the girl's section, the finally made it to the boy's. They kept walking until they saw a cabin with 'Sunshine's Cabin' written in rainbow letters above the door. They opened up the door and saw an Asian man sitting on one of the four bunks, waiting for the children to show up.

"Oh, hello." The man said. He had redish-brown eyes and black hair. He was wearing a white buttoned-up shirt and black pants. He had a name tag that said 'Splinter'. What kind of a name was 'Splinter'? "Are you Michelangelo?"

"Yeah, but you can just call me 'Mikey'." The blonde haired boy asked, squinting his eyes to read the name tag. "Why does your name tag say 'Splinter'? Is that your name?"

"No." Splinter answered. "When the counselors signed up to work here, they gave us nicknames. They gave me the nickname 'Splinter' because I was wearing a shirt with wood as it's logo."

"Cool!" Mikey said, his eyes gleaming. "I bet that I'll be a counselor one day!" He pretended to stroke his beard. "I wonder what my nickname would be... Maybe Wingnut! He's my favorite comic character!"

After a couple of minutes, another camper walked into the cabin. It was the kid he saw with the glasses and his mom. She was wearing a purple button-up shirt and a black skirt. His suitcase a purple and black.

"Hello, are you Donatello?" Splinter asked. Donnie stood there uncomfortably for a few seconds and then slightly nodded. His mom put an arm around him.

"Yes, this is my Donnie." She smiled. "He's a little shy, but also intelligent." She set his suitcase down on the cabin floor and left Donnie all alone with two total strangers.

"We only have two more campers coming to stay with us." Splinter said, crossing Mikey and Donnie's names off of his check-list. "Why don't you two pick your bunks?"

"Okay!" Mikey said as he run up to a bunk close to the cabin's bathroom. "I want this one!" He climbed up to the top.

"What about you, Donatello?" Splinter asked. Donnie looked up at him, shrugging and muttering the words 'I don't know' under his breath. "What about this one?" Splinter asked, pointing to the bottom-bunk underneath Mikey's top-bunk.

"Okay." Donnie whispered. He put his purple suitcase onto his bed, the metal zipper clanging against each other.

"Hmmm..." Mikey said, stroking an invisible beard with his index finger and his thumb. "Donatello... It seems too long!" He stroked his fantastic invisible beard again. "How about Donnie!" Mikey said. "And you can just call me Mikey!"

"'K..." Donnie said quietly. They sat there for a couple of seconds, not saying a word until Mikey spoke again.

"So, Donnie, what's your favorite thing to do?" Mikey asked Donnie, sitting down on beside him on his bed, sitting a little too close to him.

"Um, well... I like to build thing. I guess..." Donnie whispered, looking down at the ground in an awkward silence. Mikey's eyes lit up.

"That's so cool! You should create a robot!" Mikey cheered. "But what would we name it? Oh, wait, I have the perfect name! Metal-Head!" Mikey walked across the room and grabbed his orange suitcase that he set next to the door. He opened it up, digging through it, such messy packing that you couldn't really find anything. He took something out, revealing a Yellowish-orange notebook out. The letters 'M.I.K.E.Y' were written on the top, spelling out 'Mikey'. Though, you couldn't really tell because of the messy writing. He shoved the notebook in Donnie's face, making him flinch. "You should draw him on here!"

"Um... I don't really want to draw him right now..." Donnie said very quietly. He once again looked down at the floor. Mikey's smile grew a little less wide.

"Oh, okay!" Mikey said as he shoved his notebook back in his suitcase. He didn't shove it in because he was angry. He simply shoved it in because that was the only way that it would fit in.

They sat there in an awkward silence for a couple of minutes until the boy with black hair that Mikey had seen in the sign-up room. "Hello, are you Raphael?" Splinter asked.

"Um, no, my name is Leonardo..." The boy said.

"Aw! I thought that you were gonna get everyone's names right..." Mikey complained. Splinter looked back down at his clipboard.

"Well, then, that must mean that you're Leonardo." Splinter said. Leo nodded.

"And you?"

"My counselor's nickname is 'Splinter'." Splinter answered. He then gestured towards the bunk beds. "Which bunk would you like to sleep in?"

"Whichever one you'd like me to stay in." Leo replied. Splinter was somewhat surprised by the boy's advanced manners that most boys lack in this day and age.

"You can stay on the bunk atop of mine." Splinter responded. "If it's okay with you."

"Yes, it is fine with me." Leo said. He reached up to put his suitcase on his bed, his sweatshirt pulled up slightly in the process, revealing a lair of skin. He climbed up on the later, making a small thumping noise as his shoes hit the wood logs on the ladder. He pulled out a dark-blue blanket and spread it across the bed, making sure that the corners were smooth. Once he was done making his bed, he sat done on it, cross legged.

Mikey climbed off of his bunk and walk over to Leo's. "Hey, Leo!" He said.

"You may call me Leo if it makes it easier." Leo responded. Mikey looked at him weirdly.

"Why are you so polite?" He asked.

"Because my parents always taught me to be as polite as I could." Leo responded. "Unless if someone is hurting someone you love."

"That is a very good lesson, Leonardo." Splinter said. "My parents would often teach me lessons similar to ones of that." Just then, another camper walked in. It was the angry looking boy that Mikey had seen in the parking lot. His mother followed him through the door, still on the phone.

"Yeah, yeah I'll do it tomorrow, Samantha. I have to drop Raphael off at camp. After that I'll have all the free time in the world until he comes back home at the end of the summer..." She said. She had piles and piles of makeup on; she looked like your average business women. She looked over at the the entire cabin staring at her, except for Raphael. He was used to this... "I have to go. I'll call you back once I get back to my car."

"Is this Raphael?" Splinter asked, despite the fact that his mother had already said his name.

"Yes, this is Raphael."

"Then you must be his mother."

"I go by Shannon."

"Oh, okay, Shannon." Splinter said. She left to go back to her car, her high-heels clicking on the wooden floor as she left.

"Which bunk would you like Raphael?"

"Well, all of the bunks are already taken, so I'll just have this one." Raph said as he threw his stuff up to the top of the bunk.

Well, I'm done with the first chapter. Everyone's here! Except for Casey. He's coming later. I'm thinking maybe the second week? Who knows? I've really wanted to write this story for a long time, now. One of the chapters that I'm thinking about writing is something that actually happened at camp. Anyways, next chapter is supposed to be focused on Donnie. I don't know if I'm gonna change my mind or not, but it'll probably be a Donnie chapter. I can't wait to hear what you guys think!
