The Death of Maka Albarn

Did It Really Happen?

-ENTER DEATH CITY-

"You ready Soul?" Maka Albarn asked her weapon, Soul Evans.

"Let's go, Maka." Soul replied, transforming into a scythe.

"Tsubaki, ninja sword mode!" Black*Star shouted.

"Right!" Tsubaki, his weapon, replied.

"Kishin, your soul is mine." Maka stated, going after the Kishin. He chuckled arrogantly.

"You really think you can beat me?" He asked Maka and Black*Star.

"Screw you." They replied at the same time.

"You naughty children. I think I'll have to punish you for such vulgar language." The Kishin showed his weapon, a long chain with huge knives of each end. He aimed at Maka, and threw.

She saw the attack coming, and ducked out of the way.

However, Maka did not see the Kishin yank the chain, pulling it right back to her.

"Maka!" Soul shouted. Maka smirked, and hit blade as it flew toward her. Before it got too lax, however, she jumped onto it and ran at the Kishin, using his own weapon against him.

The Kishin smirked, and let go of his weapon. Maka stumbled, and flipped down, glaring at the Kishin. Her back landed right behind Black*Star's.

"You ready Black*Star?" Maka asked him softly.

"Yeah." Black*Star grinned.

"LET'S GO, SOUL RESONANCE." Maka, Soul, Black*Star, and Tsubaki yelled.

-SQUISH-

Maka froze, and looked down at her chest.

Residing there was the Enchanted Sword.

Black*Star's Enchanted Sword. Tsubaki.

Maka slowly looked at his face. "Black…*Star…" She fell over.

"Sorry Maka. But I couldn't let you have the spotlight." Black*Star grinned.

"Maka!" Soul yelled, transforming back into his human form. He grasped an unresponding Maka around the shoulders and shook her lightly. "Maka. Maka! MAKA!"

She didn't move.

Was Maka dead?
