Mikako sat on paopu island,Sitting alone by herself like she usually did. She was new to the Destiny Islands so she didnt know anybody that was apart of her problem,Mikako was a quiet girl she never trusted anyone, not until now anyway.'Stupid island why'd did we have to move here?'She thought to herself now playing around with one of the leaves of the famous paopu fruits, after ripping off the stem she stopped and looked at the mysterious fruit," heh no one would wanna share a destiny with me anyway...so theres no point in me keeping this" she said while getting ready to through the paopu fruit into the crystal clear water and to its watery grave.
"Hey you should waste fruit like that"Said a voice from behind her, Mikako quickly jumped up and turned around her long silver hair flying in every direction as she did so "Who-who are you?"She asked nervously, the boy smirked and took a step forward "I'm Riku and you are?" "I'm Mikako"she replied with a little more confedience in her voice.Suddenly she remembered "OHNO! what time is it?" She questioned Riku "It's 9:45"He replied giving her a strange look at her outburst "ahh i'm late!! my father is gonna kill me!"She said while jumping off the little island and racing along the beach then stopped and turned to Riku one last time and shouted "IT WAS NICE TO MEET YOU RIKU!" then turning and running off again. Riku just watched as the strange girl ran off "It was nice meeting you too Mikako" Riku said turning his attention to the water.
Mikako ran the entire way to her house and bolted through the door where apparently her father was waiting for her.With his bottle of whisky at hand he approached wobbling the entire way "where have you been?"Her father shouted at her "I'm sorry I lost track of time it will never-"her sentance was cut short when she was struck in the face by her fathers hand. The force from the slap caused her to fall to the ground "I'll teach you to be late"He said while grabbing her by the throat and throwing her to the wall. Tears stung her eyes as she lay there lifeless although she was still concious she didnt move fearing if she did her father would attack again.
How strange it appears

But that didnt help. Her father stumbled over to her and began to kick her repeatedly in the stomach, Mikako screamed in pain "Father please stop this!"She begged him while crying hysterically she shut her eyes tightly 'please just stop' she screamed in her mind suddenly something came over her she opened her eyes and grabbed her fathers foot she then pulled it causing her father to lose balance and fall over and hit the corner of a table blood began to spill from his left temple as he lay sprawled out on the ground lifeless Mikako just stood there starring at him tears falling freely from her face.
