Prompt: ACK!
"Careful! Careful!"
"I know, Edward, but I can't... quite... reach... ACK!" I gripped the side of the ladder as I lost my balance and felt his hands grip my waist, setting me straight on the rungs again. Putting up the Christmas lights outside our house sounded like a fun idea, and so did insisting I climb the ladder to hang some myself. Clumsy Bella strikes again, though, and poor Edward is about to have a heart attack because I can't stay steady on the stupid ladder.
"Bella, are you sure you want to be on the ladder? I can do this, or maybe Emmett can come over and help?" Edward asked, still holding on to me.
"Just let me finish this last bit of lights here and you can take over, okay?" I responded, using a cable tie to secure the lights to the gutter. I figured I made him worry enough for today.
At least outside the house, anyway.
This was an idea brought up by my Twitter frand Lee 723. We decided to do something like the Fictionista WitFit word challenges, except we're not going to do them every day. We just don't have that kind of time right now, but we wanted to keep writing. These could be drabbles, they could be one shots, depends on the prompt and how much time we have to write that day. She gives me a word and I give her a different one, so our updates aren't going to be the same. Check hers out too!
