Year of the Brother
Wind lashes at their exposed faces. The cold nips; the snow whips. Fingers flex; teeth chatter. Being out in the middle of nowhere, freezing cold, wasn't exactly how Dean expected to spend New Years.
New Years never was a big deal to a Winchester. But ever since he had risen from Hell, Dean felt like he and Sam should be spending every waking moment together being brothers. His heart flutters and his head burns at the thought of leaving Sam again. Not even this blustery night could squash that heat.
Fear is Dean's foe, but Sam is Dean's brother. Maybe this year they could start acting like it.
