A/N: I felt kinda mellow so I decided to do a crazy one-shot thing. Please realize that this has nothing to do with the actual story, I was just trying to analyze how Sakura and Sasuke felt about Naruto. R&R please; I want some sort of reply to my writing! : )

Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto. (Obviously.)

Sasuke and Sakura sat side-by-side, a perfect match, a pair of angels.

The two held hands in a very casual way, the wind playing with their black and strawberry hair. They were reliving their pasts, remembering how Team 7 had first spoken to each other on this very bench. The couple forced themselves to remember their fallen comrade, the hyper-active blonde boy whom they'd both treasured so very much.

Sasuke remembered all the moments of pure hatred he and Naruto had shared, and all the times they'd realized just how close they were to one-another.

Sakura remembered the many times she'd yelled at Naruto for misbehaving, and all the other times, when she's understood just how good a person Naruto really was.

Together, they'd endured the grief of loosing their friend, and were unable to move forward with their lives. Neither of them had ever thought about going any further than holding hands after Naruto's death. They'd both felt as though they lost huge parts of themselves, and these pieces were so large, that they took away the essence of love for them.

This is how Sasuke and Sakura had spent the last 30 years, holding hands and mourning, stumbling through their days without any sort of passion for life. So they were perfect for each other, and yet, each blamed the other for their most important person's death. This hatred fueled their lives, and neither has been able to let go.

Their story will be told much differently from how it really was, telling a tale of lovers, mourning their lost friend and seeking comfort in each other's embrace. They thought this at the same time and cringed. It was all so wrong.

"Time to go," Sasuke murmured and Sakura nodded.

"Home?" she asked automatically, knowing their routine.

"Yes," was Sasuke's seething reply.

"Fine," Sakura dug her nails into Sasuke's skin and they both stood up, ready to face another day of hatred and emptiness.
