A/N: Plot bunny has been in my head a long time. I apologize for neglecting my other stories, but I got to get this out! I know, I know, another time travel fic by me, surprise, surprise. Again, I am giving the Shittenou each an elemental power.
Familiar Strangers
Chapter One
"Venus Crescent Beam Smash!"
A golden beam of light struck the Negaverse General Kunzite's hands, effectively destroying the force field trapping the four Sailor Senshi.
Four shadowy figures looked on as Sailor Venus introduced herself. Four more silhouettes were situated adjacent to them, discreetly watching the hidden Tuxedo Kamen.
"This is useless!" a fiery female voice hissed. "We cannot just sit around for them to attack in this time! We need to find where they are keeping them!"
"The Outers are doing all they can to track them down," a voice soothed. "The crystals will protect them, but our enemies want to destroy them. They will strike the Senshi of the past."
"How can we be sure?" another asked. "No offense, Mercury, but what if their objective is not to destroy?"
The question was left unanswered as a commotion on the ground caught their attention.

Sailor Moon was surprised by the attack. The force threw them all to the ground, including the two generals, which was what surprised Usagi the most.
Mars was the first to react. "Mars Fire Ignite!"
The blast of flames hit their attacker dead-on, but did not seem to phase her. A cold laugh came from the smoke that shrouded her. "This is going to be easier than I thought if that pathetic attack is any indication." She stepped out of the smoke and Usagi was able to make out a slender woman with jet black hair and piercing ice blue eyes dressed in a low cut maroon dress that ended mid-calf with splits up to her hips.
"Well maybe you ought to try this on for size!" a voice cried. "Mars Flame Sniper!"
The woman's frigid eyes narrowed as she quickly dodged the more powerful attack. She then smirked as the four women jumped down in front of the past. "Why do you pathetic Senshi even bother? The only reason you survived last time was because your princess, the princess you failed to protect, saved you. And now you've lost her and her prince, and believe me, you'll never get them back from us!"
"You wanna bet! Venus Love and Beauty Shock!"
"Jupiter Oak Evolution!"
The two attacks raced towards her but she had already dematerialized. "Nice try, dears, but you'll have to do better than that!" she laughed as her voice finally faded away.
Usagi stared at the four women standing protectively in front of him. They looked nearly identical to the girls standing by her side, but these women were older, with slight differences in both their outfits and their bearings.
Before any of them could say a word, the four women were gone.
