Final Fantasy 8 Poems
-Dance With Me, Never Forget Me-
As he watches the SeeD ball
He stands there emotionless, quietly and tall
And then he sees her waiting there
Light ivory dress, raven black hair
She points to the stars and smiles to him
And she reaches to him, hands tender and slim
He turns away not caring to dance
Her eyes say to him "please give me a chance"
Then she begins to lead him out to the floor
As he wishes silently "please no more"
She guides him slowly through a waltz
She doesn't give up even with his faults
And soon they're dancing perfectly
Their moves in time with the music key
They spin outward and in to meet
Fireworks explode, Squall finds himself beat
Taken in by that smile and those soft brown eyes
Her watches her as she turns her face back to the sky
And that was the first time that they met
They'll never forget that day, that he bets
And now they stand saying goodbye
But not wanting their love to fade and die
He makes her a promise that they'll always share
And he keeps it for her, he'll always be there...
