PAIRINGS: Christie/Diana
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Thanks for reading. I've always loved the thought of Christie, and the fact that we will finally meet her in season three made me so happy. Even though a little part of me ships Neal & Diana, I'm glad White Collar decided to support the gay pride. (I have family that is homosexual, and any support makes me very happy). I hope you all enjoy & tell me what you think!
When Diana got off the phone from talking to Peter about how someone had broken into her living space and stolen the music box she had stored there, she was furious. No doubt would Christie be furious as well. She might even be more than furious, if that was possible.
Christie arrived home late that night. Diana had fixed her some food for a late dinner, a beer and had even gotten her some flowers from the garden Christie had planted this summer.
Then again, a part of Diana felt sympathy for Neal. He had lost the love of his life in his very own eyes, and everyday blamed himself for it. Every once and a while, Diana had put herself in Neal's shoes, thinking about how mad she would be if someone killed Christie. She loved Christie and always would. And that's why she was worried about telling Christie about how Neal had broken into her house.
Christie had walked through the door, tired and looking weary. She had thrown her shoes off and smiled at Diana. Christie gave Diana a long kiss before she sat down at the table, devouring her food.
"What's wrong, buttercup?" She asked, noticing that their was something off about her. "Is it that consultant of the FBI again?" She wandered, still eating.
Diana nodded. "He did something terrible, love. You're not going to like it at all." She said, grabbing Christie's hands and scooting her chair closer to her.
"It can't be that bad. What happened?" She said, now rubbing Diana's stiff back, working out all the knots in it.
"He broke into our apartment and stole that music box that I had in storage. I'm beyond pissed off. Right when you start to trust him, he turns on you." She growled. She felt Christie's hands stop on her back and release.
"What?" She said, standing up suddenly.
The rest of the night, there was creative words, lots of yelling from Christie's side, and eventually crying.
Christie had yelled, "I already hate this place! If it happens again, trust me, I will leave in a hesitate! I love you, Diana, but I can't take this anymore!" She cried.
Diana had gone up to her, hugging her tightly and pressing kisses to her face. "I love you so much, Christie, but you should know me better by now… If you leave, you know I'll just chase after you."
She had laughed and hugged her back. "I love you too, buttercup and somehow I can't see my future without you. I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at Neal and this whole city." She whispered.
Diana loved Christie more than anything. She wasn't going to let Caffrey ruin that.
