I swear it's true

It was true, nothing and no one could shine as bright as his dobe. He had just wished that he'd told him that before he'd left to join the Sound. Now they were so, so far apart and he could feel his heat breaking more. He didn't even know what Konoha was like anymore.

He would always be there, even if his love didn't know it. He was watching him sleep now, tossing in the bed, he could hear his name being murmured. Quietly, he began to sing, watching as Naruto stopped tossing and had a gentle smile on his face.

He always wondered why he felt so happy in the mornings, though he knew he shouldn't have been. He had promised Sakura that he would bring Sasuke back, and everyone knew how good his word was. Then maybe they could all have the lives the knew they should.

Sometimes he woke up with a song still playing in his head. Lots of times he wrote them in a note pad, considering briefly if he should leave them for Sasuke in he knew that they would never reach Sasuke, nither his letters nor his feeling ever would. He never got to say " I love you " to his most precious person.

The distance between thier hearts seemed to grow, and nothing could cross the gap. In the years that they'd been seperated companions on both sides of their hearts came to know of the love between their hearts, but the other never knew. With Sasuke a famous and powerful missing nin, and Naruto a Jinchuuriki as a candidite for Rokudaime Hokage, the way of life was going to change.

They both try to be as good as possible, Naruto resisting latting the Kyuubi take over and rampage, and Sasuke never leading his troops into Fire Country. Two more years and Sasuke may be ranked an S-Class missing nin, and Naruto would officailly be Hokage, Then they could do what ever they liked.
