When Remus had discovered that Lily and James had gone out, leaving Sirius to watch baby Harry he'd been… concerned. Not that he didn't trust, well, Lily's judgment. Still, Sirius was not well known for his responsibility.
He entered the house cautiously. No fires… but the house was eerily silent; that worried Remus.
Proceeding cautiously to the living room, Remus froze.
Sirius lay sprawled out on the couch snoring, little Harry fast asleep on his chest.
He'd never seen Sirius like this before, so gentle, so… tender. In that instant Sirius Black stole a little more of his heart.
