"Well that was hell," I said, stretching my arms. I just came back from another version of the 5th Holy Grail War. This one had me giving that brat Shirou my arm and Saber turning evil. I hate having to save my past self in this stupid war. I remember all the times I was summoned into that disgusting battle.
My first 5th Holy Grail War that I was summoned into was when I tried to stop my past self from becoming a counter guardian. I'm embarrassed to say the least. I kinda acted like a fool. I should have just accepted my fate as a counter guardian. I should have just done my job to protect Rin, help win the war, and destroy the evil grail with an Excalibur projection.
In my second 5th Holy Grail War, I did much better. I protected Rin, helped another version of my past self, and managed to get some good hits on Berserker. If it wasn't for his God's Hand Noble Phantasm, I could have won easily.
"EMIYA," a voice called. This was the voice of Alaya, the unconsciousness of mankind, which also is apart of the Counter Force. "There is a threat to many universes. But the threat is in another universe, another multiverse entirely. This multiverse, unlike our own, is not entirely conscious, thus keeping any protections against such dangers."
"This multiverse also has many other differences to our own," another voice says. This voice was Gaia, the other part of the Counter Force and will of the earth. "The ancient gods exist, but lack the power compared to our own."
"We are going to send you to fight to protect our world," Alaya said. "However, we lack the power to bring you back. We know that you are the most capable Counter Guardian, so we have faith that you will succeed. In this new multiverse, you will have all your powers, yet you'll have a human life again. Have caution, because if you die this time, you'll die for good, or go to whatever afterlife available."
"We will also unlock some more powers for you," Alaya continued. "You will be given more item-based Noble Phantasms for your Unlimited Blade Works. Also, you will be able to control the holy sheath inside you, Avalon. This will give you regenerative capabilities and you'll be able to activate its true power, allowing you to create an indestructible barrier for yourself."
"So go, Shirou Emiya, and fight for the sake of all who exist," Gaia said.
I sighed, feeling exhausted. "Sure, why not?" I smirked.
"We've entrusted your passage with the aid of the User of the 2nd Magic, Zelretch," Alaya said. Suddenly, I felt like my very existence was being torn apart. After that, I felt my atoms move around like crazy. I immediately blamed Zelretch for this pain. The old vampire always did find joy in torturing me. And then, I was gone.
