Once again

Chapter 1

J.P.O.V

Running, running away from home something I never would have thought I'd be doing in my life, but It's not like I thought I would ever be living with my Uncle Devrey either. My life changed from a fairytale to a nightmare in one night

Flashback:

"Mommy I'm home,"

"Me too Mommy me too!" added my younger sister Cerebella. She was 2 years younger than me, she was 5 and in kindergarten.

"Great," she emerged from the kitchen with an apron on. "For a snack you guys can have applesauce or carrot sticks, which one,"

"Applesauce!" we shout in unison and run to the kitchen. My sister was in her school jumper and wearing her locket as always, we almost looked like twins at that age. Our mom insisted on doing our hair every morning. Between the school uniforms and similar hairstyles, the only reason you could tell us apart was her locket and my ring.

Hers had a "c" on the outside surrounded by intricate leaves and vines, containing a picture of our family on the inside. My ring has a sapphire, my birthstone, on the outside and on the inside is engraved, "I love you my darling Jacqueline,"

We had gotten them for Christmas last year and we treasured them dearly. "Alright darlings I'm off to pick up Dad for dinner and I won't be gone more than an hour. Mrs. Duningham will be over shortly to watch you two. Be good I love you both very much." With a kiss on our foreheads she was out the door and gone.

Mrs. Duningham was over shortly after wards and we played cards to pass the time. After an hour and a half had gone by I asked "Shouldn't mommy be home with daddy by now?" We had just started learning time and I didn't know if I had misjudged or what.

"Yes dear, I'm not sure what the hold up is I suppose it must be bad traffic. Not to worry though, why don't we start a movie for you girls and I'll start dinner."

We went down stairs and watched The Little Mermaid. By the end Cerebella is almost in tears because she misses mom and dad, the movie did little to distract the poor child.

When the movie was done we went up stairs to eat dinner in the kitchen when the door bell rang. "Coming," called Mrs. Duningham and she scurried over to the door.

"Good evening, are you the children's caretaker?"

"I'm their neighbor, would you like to come in officer?"

The rest was all a blur of mixed emotions and memories I'd like to wish never happened, but they did. My mother and father had been killed upon impact of a car accident. At the time I tried to suck it up and comfort Ce Ce she was after all only 5 at the time. Later I cried my self to sleep as the officer asked Mrs. Duningham if she knew of any of our relatives. The next day I was told that the police had only been able to reach one, our Uncle Devrey. I had only met him once in my life , and I had learned to hate him in that one meeting.

"Jay, Ce Ce if you two ever need anything just look me up." That's when the man in the sleek black car honked. "Good Luck I'll be praying for you both." We gave each other a tearful hug and then we were gone.

End flashback:

C.p.o.v.

The sun went down several hours ago and though it's the middle of a summer night it's quite chilly. The moon is up and it lights our way. Running through the woods surrounding our uncles mansion with only a backpack and my guitar case to carry my life in, I flee the house I have spent the past 10 years in. Seeking freedom, I follow my older sister Jay and we plunge deeper into unknown territory.

Breathing heavily I slow to a walk when I feel we are a safe distance away from the retched mansion. We leave the forest and walk for miles until the sun begins to come up.
