Watched the Christmas special of JL on Netflix. I FREAKING LOVE NETFLIX RIGHT NOW.

Anyway, I saw MM walking towards a church and eventually singing religious songs in his Martian form! I just melted right there ;A;

This is based on the show, not the comics. And the first show, not JLU.

And yes. I know the whole "Greek mythology is in Justice League not Christianity n00b" thing. I know I'm being "unfaithful to the comics."

Cry me a river.

This is a Christian story, so if that disturbs you then please leave. I could do without the hateful anti-Christian-ness. Don't like, don't read.

I own nothing. Except this plot. And my feels. Enjoy!

It was a peaceful Sunday morning as Clark Kent and J'onn J'onzz sat together in the Watchtower, enjoying their time off. Clark was drinking his favorite coffee (black) as he read the newspaper, and J'onn was absorbed in a thick book. The latter made a hum of interest and the former looked up from his paper.

"Yeah, J'onn? What's up?" asked Clark.

"I am intrigued by this storybook here. It seems to contain the 'fairy tales' that you have mentioned before, yet they are much deeper and more mature than it would seem for children," mused J'onn. He frowned at the book. "I found it in a bookstore in Smallville, and the cashier let me have it."

Clark made an expression of interest. "What's it called?"

J'onn lifted the cover to look at it. "The Bible."

"Oh! Of course, a Bible. Well, it's actually a religious book. Many people believe that these events actually happened. You had religion on Mars, right?"

"If you are referring to the worship of deities, then yes. We did. However, the belief I had faded with the death of my people."

Clark nodded as he looked down. "Of course. Many have lost faith because of lesser things."

The two were silent for a moment as Clark sipped his coffee and J'onn continued reading. The former looked up. "This is the same religion that celebrates Christmas and Easter. Did you know that?"

"Of course. I inferred it after reading people's minds on the holidays and connecting it to this book."

"Okay." Clark leaned forward to look at the chapter J'onn was on. "Job. Yep, you'd relate to him."

J'onn raised an eyebrow, or at least managed the expression. "I did not think you religious."

"Ma and Pa raised me on this book. I'm not that religious right now, what with saving the world and all, but I still say a prayer every now and again," explained the Man of Steel.

"A prayer? You pray to a God, even with your world gone?" J'onn asked quietly.

"It's not like He just sits up there, popping worlds away when He feels like it. It's different. Sometimes bad things happen, because this world isn't perfect. None is. But God loves everyone, and helps us through those times. That's what the Bible says, at least."

"Interesting. While I cannot say I agree, I find that viewpoint worth researching." J'onn dog-eared the page corner and, snapping the book shut, set it on the table. "I will need to come back to this soon."

"It's a good book. It has a lot of life lessons and teaches people many valuable things," offered Clark.

"Somehow, I do not doubt that."

The end! Yeah. Short n' sweet.

So, there ya go! I appreciate your attention! Remember that God loves you, and so does Jesus!
