Faded Picture Perfect
Disclaimer: Ron's hair is red, Harry's eyes are green, no they're not mine, and I'm only 15.
A/N- I can't really describe this. It was sort of an idea, sort of a realization and sort of an excuse to write my own thoughts on each character. Tell me if you like. Flames will be accepted but not overly appreciated. Also the things in Italics are all quotes from the books….
There's a picture on the table in Grimmauld place. There's a faded, old, dusty picture that's been crumpled and folded too many times to count, and traveled through many pockets over many years. The picture is of some and not of others. The picture holds the past and predicts the future. The picture is now and then, and to be.
Inside the picture Sirius Black laughs. Sirius laughs like a hyena, his mouth open to the sky and his eyes full of a glee it seems only he can understand.
"No one would have made me a prefect, I spent too much time in detention with James."
Sirius seems an odd character to start with yet he is important to all those around him both near and from a distance. Maybe he is still alive and maybe he is not. Maybe he lives on, in the pictures from the Daily Prophet cover page, the issue from over 8 years ago when they still thought him to be a rampant murderer. Maybe, perhaps more likely, his memory remains in the minds of Harry and Remus, in the hearts of Hermione and Ron, in the Shrine of Hogwart's greatest pranksters, that now belongs solely to George and in the constant thoughts of everyone who ever met the subjectively infamous Sirius Black.
How many were lost in that final battle? How many won? Tonks was gone. Fred left his brother alone and his family one less. Sirius, lucky, lucky Sirius didn't have to watch his last friend die. Remus was the last Marauder to die. Harry was the first of Golden Trio to die. And the first to be able to tell the story.
This is a story. It starts with Sirius Black, a subjective choice perhaps. It follows however, not only Harry and Ron and Hermione. Not staying to the history written in blood on the hands and robes of Remus Lupin and Minerva McGonagll Life is not always what it appears t o be. Follow the stories of everyone. Of Luna and Seamus, even Oliver Wood, even Fang. Listen to the Nargles, life can change at any second. How fast can you block a killing curse?
A/N- Should I continue? I really don't know where it's going, but just tell me to work on it or drop it….. I have no preference…
