Chapter 1
I sighed, aggravated, shoving my keys into lock for the third time. They seemed like they were avoiding the lock on the door. I growled in frustration and re-shifted the groceries that had started to slip out of my arms. "Come on! I just want to get into my apartment. It's been a long day. Is that too much to ask?" I was about to continue my assault on the lock when suddenly the door swung open. I gapped like a fish as a tall man, with jet black hair and pale blue eyes that glittered with gleeful malice, stood in the doorway. "Hello." He greeted me with a smirk, as though we had just met in a coffee shop, not the doorway to my apartment. I stumbled backwards, dropped the groceries, and had opened my mouth to scream when I saw a flash of green and black and felt an ice cold hand clamp over my mouth, and an even icier arm tighten around me. "Oh no…" The man breathed in my ear like a cool breeze. "We wouldn't want anyone to bother anyone now would we?" I felt shivers race up my spine as I was starting to passing out. The last thing I heard was the door closing with a decisive 'click'.
