Hi again! Okay, this is probably going to be one of my longest stories. I hope I can update on this story as much as possible because this one's is going to be a little tough, be it involving politics and other stuff that I failed to remember in Soc. St class lol. So just bear with me, alright? Alright!

DISCLAIMER: I do not own Death Note or any characters. I only own Jennifer who comes later on in this story.

"Has the jury reached it's decision?"

A middle-aged man stood from his seat holding a piece of paper. "Indeed we have your honor. We find the client Raito Yagami guilty of multiple first-degree murders."

The judge picked up her mallet. "Then it's settled, Mr. Yagami shall be sentenced to life imprisonment with absolutely no chance of parole. Case closed."

BAM!

Raito just sat there, his head resting in the palm of his hand. He didn't see the point in trying to look confident anymore, for he knew he has lost. But… how? His plan seemed fool-proof! Unless…

His lawyer clenched his fingers around the edge of the table with his teeth bared, staring daggers at the judge and shaking with irritation and fear.

"Idiot! You were actually foolish enough to bring the original photos!"

"Bailiff," the judge announced, "You may now take Raito Yagami to the holding area."

The officer walked over to Raito holding a pair of handcuffs. He was about to click them on when Raito finally snapped.

POW!

"AGH!"

Gasp!

"Don't touch me! A person like me doesn't deserve this crap!"

Raito ran pass the bleeding guard and headed towards the door, where another one came and grabbed him, holding him in his place. Since he was a lot taller and stronger than Raito was, the bald officer was able to lift Raito off the ground so that all the brunette could do was thrash his feet around furiously. Raito turned his head to look at his defender.

"Mikami!" he shouted, "Don't just stand there! Do something, get me out of this! Help me!"

The dark-haired representative just stared his client plead for release, lower lip quivering and jaw to the floor. There was nothing he could do other than watch his client disappear…
