Friends In Small Spaces

A/N: This ficlet was written for the January Teitho challenge on TMC site. Check out the website in Cassia's bio for more info. Disclaimer: Not only do I not own Middle Earth, Erestor, Legolas, Aragorn, Elladan or Elrohir, but I also don't own trellep hunting, that belongs to the great Cassia and Sio.

"Legolas? Is that you?"

"… Aragorn?"

"It's me."

"What are you doing in there?"

"Can you get me out first?"

"…"

"Legolas?"

"Yes?"

"Are you laughing at me?"

"… No?"

"Will you at least get me out? Then you can laugh all you want."

"A trade then. I shall get you out – after you tell me just how it is you got yourself into such an interesting situation."

"It was my brothers…"

"I'm sorry, I didn't quite hear that. What was it you said?"

"It was Elladan and Elrohir, alright? They got me in here."

"That is quite the feat. I didn't realize humans were so… flexible."

"We aren't, as a general rule. Now will you get me out? This is rather uncomfortable."

"So I can see. So, what exactly did you do to cause such retaliation?"

"Nothing!"

"…"

"… that they didn't deserve."

"Ah."

"Don't sound like that, it wasn't my fault!"

"How so?"

"They started it."

"Did you take them trellep hunting?"

"Never! I wouldn't do something like that! Stop laughing!"

"Very well. So what did you do?"

"It's more a matter of what I didn't do. But they deserved it!"

"So you have said."

"Elladan took my coat. He said it was for cleaning."

"Your coat certainly could use a good scrubbing. Or perhaps we should just burn it."

"Hmph."

"Well? What happened?"

"Elrohir said something similar."

"Similar?"

"They were going to burn it! They were making a ceremony out of it!"

"I think that qualifies as cleaning when speaking of that garment. I take it you rescued your coat."

"Yes, though now it's singed. It'll never be the same."

"I doubt anyone will even notice."

"Prissy elf."

"So then what? I know you did something in revenge."

"Well, see, they'd left their bows and quivers in the stable."

"Unwise of them."

"That's what I thought too."

"What did you do with them?"

"Erestor was looking for some arrows for the hunt."

"You gave away your brother's arrows?"

"I was helping Erestor!"

"And the bows?"

"Well, several of the visiting Lorien elves wished to go too."

"The Galadhrim are known for their weapons."

"They weren't Galadhrim. They didn't have bows."

"Ah. So when did your brothers find you?"

"This morning."

"I take it they weren't pleased."

"Rather not. They said I could have my circulation back when they get their bows and arrows back."

"That seems fair. Though I am puzzled. What is it you didn't do?"

"Run."

"Unwise on your part."

"Wait, where are you going? You said you'd get me out!"

"And I shall."

"Then why are you leaving!"

"It occurs to me that when the hunters return from the hunt it shall still be after you have told me this story."

"Legolas! Legolas, come back! You can't leave me here! Legolas!"
