Your Gonna Be

A/N: Just a short little one shot/song fic set to the Reba song Your Gonna Be. No Rizzles implied but someone may read it like that then so be it. I ship Rizzles but this has been eating away at me for sometime. So yeah. Also we don't point out this is AU and somehow of the timeline because I know.

Disclaimer: Own nothing but Natalie and Nicholas.

She was scared more than she ever had. She didn't know how to do this and she was convinced the newborn in her arms would end up hating her. Jane looked at the newborn baby girl in her arms and smiled. If only had been there to see his daughter. "Natalie." The name rolled off of Jane's tongue easily and without trying. "I know I'm new at this baby girl but I hope I'll be a good mom."

"Natalie! Come on baby girl. First day of school." Jane smiled as she walked into the small bedroom that belonged to her five year old. "Come on Nat. You have to get up. Let's go." The two bedroom, cramped apartment was getting too small for Jane's liking and she knew she would have to move sooner than later. Natalie was now going into kindergarten and toys were really starting to take up the place. "Momma. I don't wanna get up." The five year old rolled over and tried to convince her mom to let her sleep in. "Just like your father Nat. Come on. Time for school. You'll see Aunt Maura after school."

'Cause anything worth doing is worth doing all the way
Just know you'll have to live with all
the choices that you make

"NATALIE MARIE RIZZOLI! GET DOWN HERE NOW!" Jane yelled up the stairs of the house she now shared with her best friend. She didn't get mad often at her daughter until it came to the rubber ducks and toys on the stairs someone could slip on. "What momma?" Natalie looked and acted like a mini Jane Rizzoli but had many of her father's personality traits. Stubbornness was one she had interated from both her parents. "Pick the toys up now, Natalie. You know this isn't our house and Aunt Maura is being very nice until I can find a house of our own." Jane gave her seven year old the typical 'Jane Rizzoli death stare'. "Yes mom." The seven year old smirked and started picking the toys up.
