Preface: You Can't Always Get What You Want

He was walking past her room when he heard it. She was having another one of her sleepovers.

"Really?That's what you want, Tohru?"

Those words stopped him dead in his tracks. After all, Tohru had done more than could ever be repaid for the Sohmas. If she wanted anything, she deserved it. He snuck closer to the door.

"W-well…it would be too much to ask, I'm sure! After all they've done for me, it would be rude to impose my wishes on them, so-"

"Ha! After all you've done for them, I'd say those boys owe you some wish fulfillment."

"Indeed," Hanijima's voice was as smooth and strong as usual, "I also would like to see this take place."

Kyo listened intently, until he understood.
