Roxas wasn't entirely sure how it had happened, but it had. He had lost his house key in the snow on what was probably the coldest night that year. And his coat only protected him for so long...

Shivering, he got down in the snow and started looking for his key ring. He hadn't been paying attention when he'd dropped them, so searching was difficult. And it was so cold...

It was then that he wished they had neighbors, but neither he nor Axel were really fond of the idea of having people in their business all the time.

His shivering was steadily getting worse. He couldn't feel his fingers, or most of his face actually. He hadn't been able to feel his toes for a while now, and he was getting worried. Hopefully Axel got home soon... He wasn't sure he would be able to keep any sort of warmth in himself for much longer. And he was getting sleepy... He could, take a nap, in the snow, until Axel got home...

Headlights coming up the narrow drive woke Roxas's sluggish brain ever so slightly. He stood up and stumbled towards black Jeep pulling up to the house. Suddenly, he was feeling kind of warm. And sleepier...

Axel got out of the Jeep and saw Roxas-who was turning blue-barely able to stand up in the snow. The redhead's eyes widened, and he caught Roxas as the blond's legs gave out.

"Roxas! What happened?" he asked, slinging Roxas into his arms and getting him into the warm house.

"Keys... in the snow..." Roxas yawned.

"Oh no, you are not going to sleep on me. Stay awake I'll get you warmed up." Axel set Roxas by the fireplace and started a fire quickly.

"But I am warm... and tired..." Roxas mumbled, leaning against the mantle as the fire crackled.

"This is bad... Okay, Roxas, I am leaving the room to get a sleeping bag. You need to stay awake until I get back." Axel's voice was stern.

Roxas smiled, finding Axel's concern vaguely funny. He bobbed his head (which turned into more of a bobble headed motion) to show that he would try to stay awake as Axel left the room. He'd stay awake for as long as he could, but his eyes felt like sandbags.

Axel returned a few minutes later, carrying a downy sleeping bag that he laid down in front of the fireplace. The redhead knelt in front of Roxas, who had warmed up only slightly, and held Roxas's chin so that the blond could focus on him.

"Roxas, I'm going to need your help, okay? I'm going to take your clothes off so that we can warm you up." Axel took off Roxas's coat and helped him out of his other clothes.

The shivering was back, but all of Roxas's joints were so stiff that he couldn't move much. Axel had to put him in the sleeping bag on the ground. Roxas rolled over with some difficulty so that he was on his side. He blinked at Axel, who was shedding his own clothes and climbing in next to Roxas.

Axel pulled Roxas against his chest, shivering slightly at the touch of Roxas's cold skin. The redhead curled around the blond slightly, trying to cover as much of him as possible. Roxas sighed contentedly and pressed his cheek against Axel's chest. He smiled and closed his eyes at the comforting sound of Axel's breathing and heartbeat.

Slowly, feeling returned to Roxas's limbs, and he felt sleep pulling at him. He drifted off, snuggled against Axel.
