Sniper sat on the cot in his camper, long limbs resting on his knees. His hat and aviators lay discarded on the bed beside him among a mess of blankets, sheets and random items he hasn't bothered to put away for weeks. He had left them out, hoping a special someone would notice and put them away, being the neat freak he was, but he hadn't come yet. He even wondered if he'd come at all.

He thought back on the things that had happened over the course of the last month or two. They had had the usual life, daily matches versus the opposing team, over and over. Different places, different plans, varying victories. It all changed just early on that month. They had fallen out in an argument. He had disappeared, literally, and left. He hadn't seen him since.

His camper was a mess. He didn't bother to tidy it up. He rarely left the box on wheels, except for food and battles. Even then, he'd occasionally snag a bottle of alcohol to help him sleep easier. This slowly increasing 'treat' was beginning to affect his battle skills as well. So far, their Medic hadn't noticed. He wanted it to stay that way. It seemed to be the only thing keeping him going. The Aussie looked up at the roof. Only now did he wonder what was happening to him. His gray eyes lower to the ground.

He was lonely. He had been lonely. Spy had changed that. Now that he was gone, he had stumbled into that void again. That hole in his heart. He longed for that voice, the one with the distinct French accent. He missed it badly. He buried his face in his hands, trying not to break down.

"You've really let the place go, haven't you?"

He looked up. Standing closer to the front of the camper was the Spy, holding an empty bottle of beer.

"Not to mention, yourself." He looked over at the Australian.

"Spoi? What are yeh doin' here?" He struggled to keep his voice from cracking.

"I can't keep a grudge, especially against you."

"'M sorry, Spoi..." Sniper mumbles.

"There's no reason for either of us to be sorry. We both messed up." The Frenchie puts the bottle down, crosses over to him and moving the hat and glasses aside, sits beside him.

"I won't leave you again."
