Damon finally worked up the courage to talk to Elena. He took a deep breath and walked over the brunette.
"Hello." said Damon simply.
"Hey!" Beatrice said happily.
"What are you doing this summer?" He asked casting his gaze to the hardwood floor.
"Just hanging out." she answered with a small shrug and sigh.
There was an awkward silence as she looked at her toes and he shuffled his feet.
"Wanna go to a movie?" They both said in unison.
