I'd do it for you, an Alois Trancy poem
Watching you die was the most traumatizing for me.
And I couldn't do much but watch helplessly.
I screamed and I cursed and punched at the wall
furious that I couldn't do anything at all.
If there only was a way to travel back in time
I would do so much that would save your life.
I'd be there to hold you every time you cried
I would never leave you alone; I'd stay by your side
I'd show you the love that you've always pursued
then maybe, just maybe, you wouldn't be so lewd.
I'd give you the attention you've always craved
so you won't turn to Claude, he's wicked and depraved.
I'd tell you only truths; never once would I lie
But if I did you would surely see through the disguise.
I would sing you to sleep every single night
then climb in your bed and hold your hand tight.
I'd stick with you through the good times and bad
smiling when you're happy, providing comfort when you're sad
I would give you my soul in a heartbeat if you needed
so you wouldn't have to give yours to that demon.
I'd put my life before yours so you'd never get hurt
I can't bear to watch you suffer, it hurts me much worse
And if you ever ask why I'd go to such lengths for you
I would simply say that you already knew.
Alois, you're my angel, you're my fallen star
and when it's love, the lengths really aren't that far.
Yet you live in a world that's so far from my sky
I couldn't reach you no matter how hard I try.
But if such machines were ever invented
I would find one and use it that very second.
And if dying beside you is the only thing I can do
since you're Alois Trancy, I'd gladly do it for you.
