This is my first attempt for a Zetsu fic, please be gentle. I am hoping this is the absolute shortest chapter I will ever write, so ideas from you guys would be kind.
She ran through the forest, tears streaming down her face as she barely dodged the trees that kept appearing in front of her at an ever increasing pace.
"I can't do this anymore, he's just..." she spoke to herself softly, stretching out her arms to grab the next higher branch and lithely swing herself up."He'll just hurt me..." She sat on the branch against the trunk, the bark digging into her skin. She picked up one of her small throwing knives and slit her fingertips, blood oozing up. She reached back into her pouch and found a few pieces of clay, working them together with her bloodied hand. She had pushed enough of her blood into the clay to turn it red before she looked at it again. She got up and dropped to ground level and began walking quietly through the trees, kneading the clay between her palms. She made her way to a river after a couple minutes to clean off her hands, the cuts on her fingertips healed completely. She divided the clay into eights, placing all but one piece into her pouch again.
He watched her quietly, observing all of her movements and recording them into his memory. Her reddish black hair glinted dimly in the shade and her solemn green eyes glistened. He knew he wasn't supposed to get involved beyond simple surveillance but she drew him like a moth to a flame. His interest was further peaked when she cut her fingers and started doing one of Deidara's habits of kneading clay. He smiled as her blood slowly perforated the material, deciding to take some of it for later examination. His mismatched eyes blurred as his two personalities clashed within his head
"We can take her with us easily"
'Leader-sama said only to observe'
"We can observe her reaction to us taking her where she's never been before"
'We're not going to eat her, I refuse, she's far too small'
"I'm going to do whatever I want when I'm in control," the voices kept talking as he sank into the tree again, going to the river to get a sample of the clay, her blood might be able to create an amazing strand of poisonous plant.
What'd you think? Been a while and I'm doing my part to get another chapter up, R&R please ~ Sera
