"InuYasha please!" Kagome begged excited "No!" he swiftly moved away from her. "Come on!" Kagome had found a comb and had gotten bored. "What do you not understand about the word no?" he asked jumping onto a ledge she couldn't reach. "Come on" Kagome repeated smiling. He had to admit she looked adorable with the flare in her cheeks but she's still the most annoying human he'd ever met he mentally rebuked himself. InuYasha just sat down and crossed his arms and looked away.
"Alright" she sighed "But your hairs so long" she murmured not thinking he could hear her. His ears flicked catching her voice even in the slightest whisper so he could be there if she needed- "Be stubborn! See if I ever ask for anything again!" Kagome yelled. His anger flared matching hers. "Good then I won't constantly be bothered with your useless chatter!" At his words Kagome turned and swiftly walked away.
InuYasha sighed and put his head on his hand. 'The only reason…' he thought. The only reason he got mad was to make sure he gave off no other emotions. Emotions that sometimes he didn't even know if he could hide. He looked over at Kagome who had chosen to wade in the stream. 'silly girl always in the water' he shook his head. Suddenly his ears perked and his eyes narrowed. Along with the sound of wings he smelled a demon. InuYashas eyes flashed as he got to Kagome "Go! Kagome go!" he slightly pushed her.
"Why?" Kagome asked not affected by him pushing her. "Shit" InuYasha cursed as the demon landed in front of them on the land. "Why can't you just do as your told?" he yelled pushing her more forcefully to the rocks. "I want to help" she insisted. 'You can help by not making me worry about you!' he thought "then stay out of the way!" he looked at her hard then gently pushed her so she was sitting. As InuYasha jumped back to the demon Kagome closed her eyes not wanting to see him fighting it alone wishing she had her bow.
Kagome looked up as the noise around her stopped and she saw InuYasha sitting on the ledge twirling something silver in his hands. She felt the comb in her pocket and climbed up the rocks. She settled behind him dropping soflty. "What do you want?" InuYasha asked. Kagome took out her comb and ran it through his silver hair slowly. He didn't move so she did it again. She got into a rythem running the comb in his hair and InuYahsa released a suppressed sigh. Kagome smiled and wraped her arms tight around him. "Hey!" he objected but didn't move her. She was hyper aware of his warm strong body within her arms and nestled her face into his soft hair and smiled. InuYasha in turn knowing she wouldn't see smiled too.
