My Vicissitude

What lurks in the deep corners of my mind?

The insatiable hunger, I seek to hide?

Will it one day appear, a ghost in a dream,

Come to possess, to take over me?

Where does love go, when love is lost?

When cold ice touches my heart, winter frost.

And how does it happen, this staggering change?

When the order and systems are so rearranged.

Becoming the enemy, what I hate most,

My former self, a hollow shell, a ghost.
